Resiliency Informed Transformative Life Coach

You've found your way here, and that’s just the beginning!

As a registered nurse for twenty years, I've come to realize that nothing is more important than your health and wellbeing.

After caring for thousands of patients suffering from often preventable conditions, and from the experience of facing my own health struggles, I chose to transform my nursing practice to be more in alignment with my passions to help clients at a deeply preventative level.

Eleven years ago I was working 12 hour shifts with lots of overtime doing bedside nursing at a big hospital. I was feeling burnout and compassion fatigue. I had a great job, a great life, but I just wasn’t happy and I didn’t know why or how to change that.

Right around that time I had a devastating loss in my personal life. I was feeling depressed both at work and in my personal life and that motivated me to seek change. I started going to a therapist.

This therapist asked me questions such as “What is your passion?” “What do you want out of life?” and many more. I now recognize these as coaching questions but when she first started asking me these questions I drew a complete blank. I really didn’t know what to say because I really didn’t know what I wanted.

When I went home and sat down to do my homework and write out these answers I realized that although I’d had so many wonderful experiences in life, I had been living without intention. I started a process of changing that.

Being more intentional in the choices I made, doing regular self-care, and starting to be more mindful all created a shift.

This catapulted me in a new direction, and so many of the dreams and visions that I wrote down with intention all those years ago have materialized.

The coaching process isn’t magic, even though it feels that way at times! It’s about changing your brain, regulating your nervous system, using tools to build resiliency, getting to know your self deeply, starting where you are and continuing to take action.

Taking advantage of the brain’s ability to constantly adapt can shift how you show up in the world. This process will change your future!

If you are wanting your life to be different, now’s the time! The first step is taking action, however small, toward that future that you’re craving. Maybe like me it is sitting down and figuring out just what it is that you want out of life.

Are you ready to start to change your brain and take the first step in to your future?

As a nurse I've needed to learn the skills of prioritizing care of myself and my own health while still being able to care for others.

You can do the same and I am here to support you in getting there!

Love, Darcie
